Michèle Lamy is a clothing designer, performer, film producer and restaurateur. She moved to America in 1979, where she set up a fashion line. In 1996, Lamy ran two cult restaurants/nightclubs—Café des Artistes and Les Deux Cafés. Later, Lamy created the Lamy clothing line and hired Owens, who later became her business partner and husband. Lamy shares responsibility for the expansion of the Owens brand. She also designs jewellery with Loree Rodkin and makes music with her band LAVASCAR.
